Designed by model maker Alex and her partner Phil, a climbing instructor, Boot Bananas were born out of their battle to banish the stink of Phil's rock shoes for good. After attempting anything and everything to deodorise Phil's climbing shoes, they jumped the gun and fought the funk themselves. Wanting to avoid any synthetic chemicals they perfected their own powerful blend of natural deodorising salts and minerals, meanwhile Alex got to work creating a shoe friendly shape. Combining the salts and minerals with a yellow fabric she had a 'light bulb' moment and Boot Bananas were born.
